Wasp Drone
Why does tiny human cry?

Robots don't feel things. They observe success metrics.

Wasp Drone

I think most stories about AI and robots are ridiculous. Let’s have one about a robot uprising that doesn’t involve resentment over robotic class struggles or some philosophical misunderstanding where the only way to keep the humans safe is to kill all of them.

And while we’re on the subject, bi-pedal metal skeletons are the worst possible robot for post-apocalyptic urban warfare.

All of the Terminator’s processing power would have to go towards traversing piles of bricks. And manufacturing and assembling overly complicated skeleton hands just so it can hold and fire a laser riffle is dumb. Rant over.

About the Creator

Sean Clauretie

Sean Clauretie is an artist based in Las Vegas, NV. After graduating from the Joe Kubert School in 2002, Sean paid the rent by doing design for indie hip-hop artists and labels. He worked with the likes of MF DOOM, RJD2, The Demigodz and more during the amazing indie record boom of the early 2000’s. He continued to design for music as an Art Director at The Palms in Las Vegas during its heyday, working with artists like Paul Oakenfold, DJ AM, Z-Trip, & Diplo. A couple ad agency and start-up jobs later, Sean has a compelling story to tell and is excited to get back to his comic book roots.

The promise

Monkey Crusher is an ambitious project by any measure. I’ve set several goals for it. First was the idea that ultimately led to the making of this book. That I want to tell a story that deals with Artificial Intelligence that is grounded in reality (See Above). When it comes to art, I love a well designed comic book page and want to deliver a book with around 300 of them. No throw away pages.

As a potential investor of afternoon reading time, I want each of you to know that considerable work has already been done on this project. Every panel of this 294 page humans vs. robots future classic has already been roughed out. The story is done, the plot is done, a custom font has been made, there are some ashcans floating around, sketchbooks are being produced, and a website has been launched. It is the action adventure spy thriller wrapped around semi-hard sci-fi that you have been waiting for.

It’s got air-tight action sequences, rock solid story telling, and sci-fi that isn’t just hollywood technobabble.

You are going to love this book and you can follow it all here.
